She’s Back!!!!Imelda Marcos Seeks Philippine Election Comeback At The Young Age Of 80!!!…Well,…She Has PLENTY Of Shoes To Run In!!!!
80-year-old Imelda Marcos, the former first lady forever associated with diamonds and a huge shoe collection, hit the campaign trail Friday in a bid to re-enter the Philippine Congress.(VIDEO)

Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos together again at the start of a campaign...
She is the widow of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and is seeking to clear his disgraced name.
To signal her return to Philippine politics, she kissed the outside of the glass casket holding her embalmed late husband, the dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and stated…”This is one of our major injustices,”…”He was one of our best ever presidents”….”During his time we had territorial integrity, freedom, justice and human rights.”(SOURCE)
The flamboyant former first lady is running for a seat in the Philippines’ lower house in the May 10 local elections.
Mrs Marcos, who lost a presidential bid in 1992, said she was running to “uphold political integrity and the truth”.
The BBC reports that…A host of other high-profile candidates are also running for seats in congress.
Both boxing star Manny Pacquiao and the country’s current leader, President Gloria Arroyo, are standing for election.
According to the constitution, Mrs Arroyo must step down as president. Her decision to contest a congressional seat has worried critics who accuse her of seeking the powerful position of Speaker as a way of retaining power.(SOURCE)
Historically,Philipine elections are accompanied by a dramatic increase in violence and intimidation, as rival clans position themselves in place of power to continue the corruption and criminal activities that have plagued the Philippine government for years.
The spotlight is already on election-related violence in the Philippines following last year’s massacre of 57 people in Mindanao, as reported here on these pages.
Relatives and friends of a candidate and dozens of journalists were killed in an apparent bid to prevent them filing registration papers for the candidate to run in a local election.(SOURCE)
…maybe Imelda is positioning herself to go on another “shoe buying frenzy” with money that is supposed to go for the care of the citizens of the Philippines?
