Cookie Johnson CJ Jeans for Curvy Women Out Now…

Cookie and Magic Johnson of CJ Jeans

Cookie and Magic Johnson of CJ Jeans

It seems like Magic Johnson is not the only entrepreneur in the Johnson household.

Cookie Johnson , Magic’s wife of many years, has launched a line of jeans  with Michael Glasser, founder of Seven and Rich & Skinny, to create a new line of denim jeans for sizes 0-18. Fittingly titled  class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”titled “CJ by Cookie Johnson, the jeans will be sold at Neiman Marcus and several other high-end department stores.

Oprah Winfrey, on her show today, has proclaimed CJ jeans as the best jeans for women with …”booties”. Oprah says they provide an ample amount of space for your booty, if you have one.

In 2004, Oprah declared the same with rap star Nelly’s Apple Bottom Jeans lines, that are competing for the same customers, young and old. The Apple Bottom jeans line was also included in ”Oprahs favorite things” section of her show, increasing sales for the popular brand.

I expect the same will happen for the Cookie Johnson CJ Jeans line.

The jeans cost range from cost from $145 to $198, and are meant for the upper scale customer, whatever that is.

They are definitely not cheap, and are not the most expensive jeans out there either.

I wish Cookie well with this venture, as her family has been very active in philanthropy within the urban communities, especially here in Los Angeles.

  1. I would like to know where can I purchase these jeans?

    • You can by CJ Cookie Johnson Jeans at Nordstrom Department stores, Nieman Marcus and Bloomingdales’ as well.
I would start with Nordstrom on-line and just order them there, or if you have a Nordstroms in your community, then
you are all set. Good luck…lol.

  2. I love the look of Cookie Johnson jeans… too bad they exceed my “clothes budget” by a long shot
