I do not understand hunting and killing an animal,or anything living if it is not something that I am going to eat and used for food , clothing and basic survival,like the wild predatory animals in the wilds, but I look a killing any animal just for sport, and as a stuffed and posed ‘trophy’ as a sick government sanction slaughter of defenseless creatures,by psychos.(P.E.T.A.)

Mary Ellen Mara-Christian successfully got a permit through the state’s lottery system for the one month-long season.

Mara-Christian, her husband Mark Christian,and their sick friend’s were ecstatic when they received the news that they had been selected to receive a gator killing permit for this 2010 season,so they packed up and drove down to South Carolina with a heavy arsenal of gator killin’ weapons.(Source)

Let’s be honest here….everybody has seen this mammoth monster size gator, but no one was heartless and callous enough to kill it.

A giant gator is hard to hide!!!

The rational has been, since it’s been there for that long to gain such an enormous size, then they would respect that anomaly and leave it alone, for future generations to enjoy its majesty,there are plenty of other gators in the lake to kill,but this one was a unique freak of nature, because of its size and age,and had earned the respect of the hunters, so they all decided to let it live.

She did not hesitate,didn’t bother with common respect, and promptly hooked him with her fishing pole and ‘battled’ for two hours to get the gator near the boat. In South Carolina, hunters must secure the gator and get it to the boat before they are allowed to shoot it.(Source)

…but it really was no battle at all for her, as she was going to shoot it anyway!

This is when all of her anger from her unending unemployment,failure,and rage to kill, and her blood-lust was unleashed upon the poor gator, already taken by surprised, and in a uncompromisingly prone situation, ….and she shot it in the back, over and over again,..an amazing total of 8 times,..Harpooned him repeatedly,all the while poking and prodding the frightened alligator in a stunning display of what could rationally be described as an “Overkill”.

The alligator had to be taken by tractor to a nearby processing plant. They are going to prepare the body of the gator for taxidermy, because there were no plans to eat the meat, and the market for road kill gator meat commercially is nonexistent and very, very,local, if it exist at all.

Anyhow, any animal that large is probably all fat anyway!

Meat processor Steve Drummond, owner of 301 Processing and Taxidermy, initially estimated that the gator weighed 900 pounds, but he and a friend were curious and procured a certified scale, and the weight came in at 1025 pounds.It was the biggest one he has ever seen any hunter kill.(Source)

These hunters primarily just want to kill something that will not shoot back, and then stuff it and put it on display.

For someone who does not even eat alligator meat,she sure wanted this one really badly, and is bragging about having some sort of sick satisfaction in having slaughtered,albeit legally, an innocent beast!..Why?

Some claim that it is good for the gators conservation for them to be periodically hunted and killed.

Only 1,000 licenses were given out for the month-long alligator hunting season, according to the South Carolina Natural Resources Department .

Each hunter can get one alligator a year. The state is divided into four regions with no gator hunting allowed in the northwest area known as the Upstate. Licenses are awarded by lottery and hunters must stay in the zone where they were selected.(Source)

My concern is that if they are only issuing a thousand permits to kill gators in South Carolina, then how did some blood thirsty uncaring hunting tourist carpetbagger from Massachusetts get one?
