Rapper Apache Dies Today From A Long Illness...R.I.P.

The former Flavor Unit MC, Apache died today, after battling an undisclosed, protracted illness.

Apache was a protegé of Hip-Hop acts Queen Latifah and Naughty by Nature and is most known for the 1992 hit single “Gangsta Bitch” from the album Apache Ain’t Sh*t. Apache was also featured on several albums by Naughty By Nature, Tupac and Fat Joe throughout the early to mid nineties.

According to Wikipedia….Apache’s début album Apache Ain’t Shit was released in 1991 and peaked at #66 on the Billboard 200 and #15 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Also featured on the album was the hit single “Gangsta Bitch” which went to #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 on the Hot Rap Singles. Apache also released a single “Do Fa Self” in 1993 but he has yet to release another album or single.

Apache was a hardcore act who had a hard delivery and an outspoken style, and there would be no Queen Latifah if it was not for Apache…

Apache was born Anthony Peaks, and his real age is unknown at this time.

Apache was one of the hardest rappers from the East coast,….rest in peace.
