64-year-old art teacher and former Teacher of the Year, Sandra Hadsock, will not be charged with child abuse or any crime associated with her having to defend herself and slap a large, hulking male student that was verbally attacking her with sexually offensive slurs, and mounting a physical attack,that was quite intimidating to the diminutive,elderly female veteran teacher.

The incident occurred last month at Central High School in Brooksville, Fla.and was caught on a cel phone camera by a student witness,and turned over to the police.

After the incident, Hadsock was taken to the principal’s office and held there until the authorities arrived, and decided to take her in and book her for assault.

She was put in a police car, handcuffed, and taken to the local precinct to have a mug shot taken. She was initially charged with felony child abuse.

An investigation by the State Attorney’s Office took place, and the charges were eventually dropped when they determined that the veteran award-winning Art instructor Hadsock had acted in self-defense.

The student,on the other hand, received a cut lip for his verbal and physical assault on this elderly female teacher, and was suspended.

What the tape does not show is the student’s verbal attack on the teacher,using a threatening tone, and hurling sexually offensive vulgar profanity at the cowering and intimidated teacher Hadsock.

From what I witnessed of the incident is enough for me to see that Mrs. Hadsock had to resort to physical self-defense from this attacking large teen, because of his advance on her, and his invasion of her personal space.

…AND he is squaring off in front of her,gesturing his body in a language that can only be determined to be threatening.

Sandra Hadsock,who has been teaching for 22 years, and 21 of them were at Hernando’s Central High School, says that “Over the years, they’ve been kids rude and disrespectful and I’ve dealt with it.

But this was a unique incident.”

Hadsock’s attorney, Ty Tison, sums it up perfectly when he says that the video “speaks for itself”…

What we see is an approximately  5’5″diminutive elderly female mother of two being attacked by a hulking over 6’2″ gigantic healthy Man-Child in an aggressive stance, spewing vulgarity after vulgarity berating and intimidating this dedicated award-winning public servant.

Now, since all the charges have been dropped and she has been exonerated,the veteran teacher wants her job back!…and I think she deserves it back, and support her in her efforts to restore her position on the faculty of Central High School!
