It is an unfortunate death, but, I believe the son, and the grandchildren were being used by the heartless and ruthless dictator, as human shields to protect his own neck, and I am in no way surprised to hear that the decoy worked, and Gaddafi was able to run out of the scene, with his wife in tow,unharmed(Aljazeera-Video)

More than likely,Gadhafi set-up his son and his little grandchildren, to be killed by a bomb that he knew was meant for him…or he simply ordered his own troops to fire on the house, and to kill his own family,in order to stage this press event, and to somehow garner sympathy for his rule,and shame NATO into a ceasefire.

NATO disregarded Gadhafi's plea for a cease-fire by bombing his families compound

NATO on Saturday brushed aside Moammar Gadhafi’s plea for a truce and negotiations to end an international bombing campaign,so a begging and desperate Dictator Gadhafi may have resorted to killing his own child and grandchildren to gain support for his pleas for a cease-fire.

Government spokesman Moussa Ibrahim said the incident which killed Saif al-Arab Gaddafi was “a direct operation to assassinate the leader of this country”…

…I would say that he is pointing out the obvious!
