A statement from Brandon Marshall’s agent, Kennard McGuire, said Marshall will make a full recovery,but due to the ongoing NFL lockout, the Miami Dolphin’s organization said that the team was not allowed to contact their injured player,but wish him a full recovery.(CBS)

According to the Broward County Police department arrest report, Brandon Marshall’s wife,Michi Nogami-Marshall ,26,has been arrested on a domestic violence charge,and a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.(Source)

She is claiming the stabbing was unavoidable, and that it was done in self-defense,but does admit that she did in fact stab her husband in the abdomen.

The police also noted that Brandon Marshall had what appeared to be defensive wounds on his hands.

If that is true, it directly contradicts the story that Brandon Marshall originally gave to the police, as a factual accounting of how he ended up stabbed in his abdomen.(USA Today)

Brandon told the police that his wounds were caused by him accidentally slipping on a glass vase and breaking it, and being impaled by a shard of glass as he hit the floor.

“The victim provided sworn testimony advising that he had slipped and fell onto a broken glass vase,”the police report states. However,the area where the vase was broken indicated no blood within the immediate area to substantiate the claim.”(Penalty for lying to the police)

Doctors treating him determined that he had in fact been stabbed, by a kitchen knife by someone attacking him.

Police are reporting that the couple is reluctant to give any more information regarding the domestic attack, and it means that Brandon could be charged with lying to the police,and for whatever he did to instigate his wife Michi to stab him.(Arrest Report)

Nogami-Marshall was released from jail on a $7,500 bond Saturday afternoon.
