West Coast Hip Hop Hooks And R&B Singer Nate Dogg,41,Dies From Complications From Multiple Strokes…Regulating In Eternity!!!
Late last night, we recieved the sad news that the smooth singing, laid back G-funk hip hop legend Nate Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel D. Hale, has died at the young age of 41.(Long Beach press-Telegram)
Nate Dogg had been suffering from health issues for several years, sufferring the effects of two strokes ,one in 2007,which left him paralyzed on one side of his body ,and the last one in 2008.(HuffPo)
His death was confirmed today by attorney Mark Geragos who said Nate Dogg died Tuesday of complications from multiple strokes.(NY Daily News)
There are no reports explaining what caused the strokes in the first place,or what underlying medical condition may have been at cause here.
Just this past Sunday, Warren G tweeted, “For those that dont know awhile back nate had 2 strokes he is in therapy thanks again for your support…”(CBS)
Nate Dogg was founding member of the Long Beach (LBC)pioneering hip-hop group 213 with Snoop Dogg and Warren G.,who created the G-funk style of music, and was a major part of most of their hits, including the multi-platinum Warren G. single “Regulate”.(MTV)
Nate Dogg was an original member of a Long Beach Poly high school rap group named 213, which was a trio consisting of Nate Dogg, Warren G., and a young Snoop Dogg.Warren G. is super west coast producer Dr.Dre’s little brother, and when Warren convinced Dre to listen to his groups demo of the group, Dre. signed them ,promoted them, and the rest is hip hop history.
Nate earned four Grammy nominations,the first one in 1995 for “Regulate,”with Warren G., and his fourth and most recent nomination came for Eminem’s “Shake That” in 2007.(Long Beach Post)
Snoop Dogg tweeted this memorial message to his friend :
“I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan.”
Snoop added, “I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit.”(TMZ)
Nathaniel Hale aka Nate Dogg, like many R&B stars of the past,began singing in church at the New Hope Baptist Church choir in Long Beach, California.(People)
He will be missed by millions of fans who grew up listening to Nate Dogg’s undeniably smooth hooks, on many hip hop classics….may he rest in peace…
