70-Year-Old Woman Has Been Found Alive Surviving 4 Days After Tsunami Washed Away Her House…With Her Still Inside It!!!

Tuesday, while dangerous levels of radiation leaked from a ruptured nuclear plant forced Japan to order 140000 people to seal themselves indoors after an explosion and a fire dramatically escalated the crisis, search and rescue teams have reported a bit of good news amidst all of the tragedy.(Washington Post)

Rescuers pulled a 70-year-old woman from her toppled home Tuesday, five days after the disastrous earthquake and tsunami struck north-eastern Japan.

The woman survivor, who was suffering from hypothermia, was found inside her house that was washed away by the tsunami in northeastern Japan’s Iwate prefecture. Rescuers of the Osaka fire department found the woman still trapped inside her house miles away from its original location.(Source)

Osaka fire department spokesman Yuko Kotani said the woman was conscious and was being treated in hospital.(Source)

She would not give the woman’s name in order to protect the elderly 70-tear old woman’s privacy.

This is a sign of hope, resiliency, and the human will to survive. Many have been found alive and injured, and I expect in the coming days there will be more stories of hope, and dramatic accounts of surviving one of the worst set of disasters to hit the planet.(Source)
