Christopher was attending the event with his brother Colin, a sixth-grader. Bizilj said it was the first time Christopher had fired an automatic weapon.

How come their only against guns when their own children die from a gun their loving daddy tought them to shoot? Shouldn’t he be buying more guns and teaching his other children how to shoot responsibly? Lock & load

No he needs to first learn gun safety himself. Then maybe he will realize guns are not toys and should only be handle by those capable of handling them safely.

What in God’s name were these people thinking? Does anybody, anybody at all believe that it makes any kind of sense to put a fully automatic weapon in the small hands of an untrained, innocent little sixth grader who would do anything in the world to make his Dad proud of him? I have been shooting all my life, and served in our Armed Forces. No one can accuse me in any way of being an anti gun fanatic. But this just…horrifies me. There are just far too many people out there who seemingly have no brains. No brains at all. I grieve for that child and his entire family.

Your point is valid, but let’s be clear. This was NOT a sixth grader using the UZI. It was an 8 year old, meaning he was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade. Disgraceful parenting.

You are so right. The only problem … it was not the sixth grader who died, it was his EIGHT year old brother. How stupid does a person have to be?

Another STUPID parent takes his 8 yr child to a gun show and lets him use a UZI that the poor child couldn’t possibly know how to use and shoots himself in the head. When are the parents going to be help accountable for negligence, and endangering a child. by keith

Do the parents claim ANY responsibility?

The wrong person is on trial. Daddy should have never allowed his son to shoot this weapon. The gun performed as it should if only the so called adults had done the same.
