Christine Logan,40,Stabbed U.S. Tourist’s Body Found Near Jerusalem

The police have found, and identified the body of  an American female tourist missing since Saturday,in a rugged forest outside Jerusalem Sunday.(CNN)

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld identified the slain woman as Christine Logan,40, an American tourist who was attacked , according to Logan’s friend, Kaye Susan Wilson, by two random unknown Arab assailants while the two women had been hiking in a forest near Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem.(Source)

Kaye Susan Wilson is a leading tour guide with Shoresh Tours, the only witness and survivor of the alleged attack, told police they were attacked by two Arab men, tied up and stabbed repeatedly. She said she escaped and ran for help.

The men approached the two who were resting during their hike, and asked them for water,when all of a sudden, she said,they were overpowered by the men.(NY Daily News)

One of the assailants gently took a Star of David chain off her neck, “then turned me around and stabbed in the place where the Star of David had been.”(Arabnews.com)

She said they were tied up and assaulted, but that she had managed to free herself, escape, and run for help. She was covered in blood and cuts,all over her body, and her hands were still bound behind her back.(LA Times)

When police finally discovered the body of the victim Christine Logan, her hands and feet were still tied up and bound.

“It all happened so fast,” Wilson said. One of the men took out what looked like “a bread knife with a serrated edge,” she said. Logan “became hysterical” and the men began to stab them.(Source)

“It was clear that they came to kill,” she said. “Who carries around a knife like that?”

The police are classifying the murder as political in nature, given the religious overtones of the assault.(Fox)

Israel’s Tourism Ministry expressed regret, but said it did not expect the incident to affect what is expected to be a record year for tourism. The killing occurred just ahead of Christmas, an important tourist season for Israel and the Palestinians.

…no arrest have been made, and the police have no other witness, other than the one who allegedly escaped to report this story. Before the police rush to judgment and persecute innocent law-abiding Arab men, I hope they first confirm that this story is true, so that they will not repeat the atrocity that happened in the Susan Smith case….(Wiki)

…and if it is a true account of what happened to Christine Logan...then I hope that the police capture her killers, and bring them to justice…the police have already come out today to claim that they think the killing was probably a terror attack,..but admitted that they are still looking in all directions,and all possibilities, because the investigation is still ongoing.(Source)
