WTF!!!QB Mike Vick Wants To Own A Dog Again!!!!…Just When Things Were Starting To Go Good!?!?
The Eagles starting quarterback and convicted dogfighting operator Michael Vickhas expressed to the media that he would like to become a dog owner again one day, as soon as his probation is over.(Source)
I was under the impression that he was banned for life from owning a pet dog, as part of his sentence on federal charges relating to dogfighting and gambling, but Vick was placed on three years of “supervised release,” meaning that at some point in 2012, he will be able to own dogs.(Source)
Vick served 18 months in prison after being convicted in 2007.
I can only imagine how much the first photo of Michael Vick walking his new pet dog will go for, but I am sure it will be high!!!…does he really want to open himself up to this type of public scrutiny again, when it seems like the public is willing to live and let live???
…I don’t know, but I do know that it will be a big distraction for his team, and it has already angered many animal activist out there today, who had their anger towards him in check, and had decided to move on.(NBC)
Since his release from prison, Mike Vick has worked with the Humane Society of the United States and makes school appearances to talk to students about his past, and to discourage them from going down the same path that led to his imprisonment.
Humane Society President Wayne Pacelle said it’s too early for Vick to have a dog, but says it could be appropriate after his probation ends.
Jane Dollinger, spokeswoman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said Vick should be banned from owning dogs for life.
…What do you think?
…I don’t know if he needs a dog right now, but judging by the timing of these latest statements just when things were going good, I know he needs a new press agent and publicist!!!!
I think he is just covering up by being nice at the animal control shelter’s,for bad men don’t change spots and he’s bad so maybe the Judge that court order him not to have a dog needs to know what Vick’s plans are and just maybe he will get the point that he cannot have another dog or dogs. Dogs are suppose to be man’s best friends but to some its just another way of making money until they get caught, and the dogs have to be put down later because they were made to be mean.. I think all abuser should never be allowed to have dogs or any kind of pet they should have to go without.. Just like horses being sold at actions most are stolen and then sold to feed people overseas’ threw slaughter plants in Canada and old Mexico.People here in states are still breaking the law we don’t allow folks to eat our dogs so we should stop all truckers hauling horses across borders to be slaughtered to feed those that like horse meat. There is a piece of highway between New York and Canada no one stops these trucks to see about papers or brands or to see if their cargo is stolen well they should more people need to get involved with this and stop it once and for all. There are 10 kids out there since Oct missing their ponies because people come in yards and just take what isn’t theirs to take and they end up at the slaughter plants. These horses are not old in fact they are show horses, riding horses, healthy horses, mares in foal, babies being put down this is bad people help stop it… Write your congressmen get the word out and these horses suffer, they don’t get feed, or watered they are doubled stacked in cattle trailer’s, they get hit iin the head with a sharp ended hammer and then they are still alive when they are strung up side down to be slit from ear to ear to be bled to death, This is cruel and very harsh and the cries makes me sick..

All animal abuse should be against the law period and killing horses should not be allowed anywhere.. That piece of highway between New York and Canada needs to be checked for stolen cargo that have brands and I know driver’s don’t have paper work for those stolen horses.. Help get more involved save our history for being eaten..
