A concerned neighbor in a condominium complex in the Disney developed planned community found the body of  Matteo P. Giovanditto,58, in his Water Street condo which is next door to hers, because she was concerned over the fact that she had uncharacteristically not seen her neighbor Mr. Giovanditto for a few days.(Source)

Investigators believe that the victim was killed sometime during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, but they are still in the process of piecing together the events that led to the death of Mr. Giovanditto.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that they have recovered the black 2008 Chevrolet Corvette in Kissimmee,Florida, which belonged to the murder victim, but they have not caught whoever stole the vehicle and abandoned it.

I think that it is logical to deduce that whoever stole the vehicle and abandoned it in Kissimmee, would be considered the prime suspect in the murder of Matteo P. Giovanditto, and hopefully the police can lift fingerprints and other forensic evidence to help find the perpetrator.

To add to the intrigue, the vehicle was discovered due to an anonymous call from a crime tip line on Tuesday.

Investigators have officially ruled the death to be a homicide, after uncovering evidence in the victims condo. They have not released information concerning the manner of death, and the investigation is ongoing.

The murder of Matteo P. Giovanditto is the first homicide to take place in the Disney developed community of Celebration, Florida, which was opened up in 1996, and currently boast a population of approximately 11,000 citizens.

The development was created in 1989 when the Disney Corp. proposed a “wonderful residential town,” that would be “closer to Main Street than future world.”(Source)

In the year 2000, the population was only about 2,736 residences, and the town has enjoyed a steady growth ever since.

Matteo P. Giovanditto was a native of Massachusetts, and was also a former teacher, who may have been working with challenged youths. He reportedly, had moved to Celebration from South Florida in 2004, and has lived there ever since.

Police are offering a $5000.00 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the murderer, and the investigation is being handled by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The entire community of Celebration,Florida is in mourning over their first ever homicide within the confines of their community, and will be on edge until the culprit is brought to justice.

The peaceful community of Celebration,Florida has been rocked by their first ever murder!
