Prominent, and much-loved Hollywood publicist, Ronni Sue Chasen, was shot to death early Tuesday in Beverly Hills while driving down a street in close proximity to Beverly Hills High school and the posh Beverly Hills hotel as she was making her way home.(HuffPo)

Ms. Chasen,64, was shot 5 times in the chest, from an assailant that was outside her car shooting at her as she drove down Whittier Drive just south of Sunset Boulevard.. Her black Mercedes-Benz E-350 stopped when it crashed into a light pole, and had been reported as a solo vehicle crash.(NY Daily News)
When the emergency responders arrived, they found the lone female driver slumped over in the front seat bleeding from the multiple gunshot wounds.

On Monday night, publicist Chasen had attended the red carpet premiere of the new film “Burlesque” starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, but Steve Elzer, a spokesman for Sony Pictures, could not say when Ms. Chasen left the after-party.(CNN)
She was at the ‘Burlesque’ premiere in support of her client, award-winning composer Diane Warren who composed a song for the movies soundtrack.In fact,Chasen and Warren had been interviewed by the media about the music in the film.
Ronnie Chasen had a long and successful career in Hollywood as a publicist, and she worked with clients like Michael Douglas, producer Richard Zanuck,and composer Hans Zimmer. She had been the head of publicity for American International Pictures and then served for 10 years as Executive Vice President of Motion Pictures at the prestigious Rogers & Cowan agency.(Source)

The police detectives are busy investigating this mysterious crime, searching for a motive. The Beverly Hills police are requesting video surveillance footage from businesses and residents along Sunset Boulevard , but at this time they do not have any clue as to the motivation for the attack, or the circumstances surrounding her murder.(MSNBC)
What they do know about Ronnie Chasen’s last moments, is that six minutes before she was shot,she placed a cellphone call to her office, leaving a to-do list for her staff. It was the second such message she left at the office last night.
