Ohio Court That Convicted Mother Of Cooking 4-Week Old Infant Daughter In Microwave Oven,Reverses Her Death Sentence Due To Prosecutorial Misconduct.

China Arnold,30,a Ohio mother, was convicted for killing her 4-week old daughter,Paris Talley, in 2005, to a life without the possibility of parole sentence.(Daily Mail)

Throughout two trials, the first which ended in a mistrial, Arnold has maintained her innocence. She has denied any involvement in her baby’s death.

…so,how the baby got in the microwave according to Mrs. Arnold,is still unclear.

Arnold has been an inmate at  the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, where she had been serving out her life sentence, but the ruling means she could get a new trial and could be brought back to the Montgomery,Ohio County Jail within days, her attorney, Jon Paul Rion, said.

The appeals court decided to reverse the sentence due to what attorney Rion characterizes as …”“numerous acts of prosecutorial misconduct,”..and “a severe breach in the due process of the court.”(Source)

County Prosecutor Mathias H. Heck Jr. said in a statement that his office plans to ask the court to reconsider its decision, because no misconduct took place.He says that he is ‘astonished’ by the ruling.

The state’s key witness, Linda William’s has recanted all of her testimony, which sent China Arnold to prison. She confessed that her story claiming that defendant Arnold had confessed to putting her baby in the microwave was a lie, concocted because she claims  the Montgomery Ohio County Prosecutor’s Office threatened her with jail time unless she gave that false testimony.(Source)

There were other instances of misconduct that the court found,and considering all the evidence, they issued this very rare reversal in favor of China Arnold.

I support a fair trial in all cases, and I find that the court is acting in a responsible manner, if they feel that the prosecutor’s presented false evidence in their zeal to convict Ms. Arnold.

I am curious as to why they felt the need to allegedly ‘cheat’ in this case, because at 4- weeks old, it is clear that the baby did not place herself in the microwave, and turn it on magically, while inside what became little Paris’s death chamber.

If China Arnold did this reprehensible act to her child, then she deserves a death penalty, if not a life sentence…but if something or someone else is at cause in this infant’s murder, then we all should only want the responsible party to pay.(Source)

…whoever was with China Arnold’s 4 week old baby did this…so my question to China Arnold is…“where,or with whom did you leave you 4 week old in the care of’…or exactly what happened to cause baby Paris to be cooked inside of a microwave oven.
