Another Pentecostal Mega-Church Bishop Comes Out Of The Closet As Being Gay…Is He A Hero Or Hypocrite?

The nephew of the outed deceased sexual predator preacher Earl Paulk, Bishop Jim Swilley of the Church in the Now in Rockdale County, Georgia, has come out of the closest as a practicing homosexual, after preaching religious doctrine against the gay lifestyle for many years.(Source)

..it seems like hidden Christan sexual perversion runs in the family, as well as the fact that they know where to hide,….in church behind the pulpit,  in the state of Georgia, where the age of consent is 16!!!

Bishop Swilley,52, had been concealing his true sexual orientation, along with his wife Debye, who married him, and gave birth to their two sons, even though she knew he is gay.(Source)

 

Bishop Swilley in a Bishop Eddie Long inspired muscle shirt...is this more than a fashion choice between the two gay bishops?

Swilley said the recent rash of gay teens bullied to death motivated him to come out of the closet,…and I hope that fellow lying pedophile bishop Eddie Long, also in Georgia, will follow suit, so their hypocrisy can be known by all who have decided to follow them, under false pretenses.(Source)

After over 20 years of his lies and concealment, Bishop Swilley chose to keep it real and come out as a homosexual pentecostal preacher, which is a problem, given the church’s stand against homosexuality.But his wife was in on it as well, because the money was good.

The now-divorced couple kept their secret for 21 years, but earlier this year, Swilley said Debye told him it was time to stop living a lie.
She said he should practice what he preaches and follow the church’s motto, “Real people experiencing a real God in the real world.”

“As a father, think about your 16-, 17-year-old killing themselves, I thought somebody needed to say something” an emotional Swilley said.

Swilley understands that he may lose his congregation and church based on his revelation, but says he is prepared to start over.

Swilley said he wants to continue his ministry and that everything is “on the altar, and if we do lose it everybody is ready to start something else.”

“Our church, financially, is in the natural,” he said, apparently referring to the down economy. “It’s not in a great place. I don’t know if the church can survive this,” he said. “I definitely know I’m the talk of the town after 38 years, but I wish people can remember me for the fruits of my gifts.”(Source)

As I see it, I commend him for finally telling the public the truth, but it’s the lying I can not forgive him of…I just wonder how many times he has sat silent at a church meeting where homosexual Christians were being made to feel less than human, and far from the word and support of the Christian church.

Whatever the case may be, this man has a right to be gay, and his followers have a right to depart his church.

It is a fate that is inevitable, one that Bishop Swilley will now face,as opposed to continuing to live the lie like fellow gay bishop Eddie Long.
