Actor Tom Bosley aka ‘Mr. C’ of Happy Day’s Dead at 83…May He Rest In Peace.
Breaking News- Celebrity website TMZ is reporting that veteran T.V. star and character actor Tom Bosley,83, has passed away at his home in Palm Springs,Ca., from his fight battling a staph infection.(TMZ)
Conflicting reports from Bosley’s agent, Sheryl Abrams, says Bosley died of heart failure at 4 a.m. Tuesday in Los Angeles. She says he was also battling lung cancer.(NPR)
Staphylococcus is a group of bacteria that can cause a multitude of diseases as a result of infection of various tissues of the body. Staph-related illness can range from mild and requiring no treatment to severe and potentially fatal.(Source)

Tom Bosley was 83 years old, and was mostly remembered for his portrayal of Richie Cunningham’s dad , portrayed by Ron Howard, and mentor to family friend and neighborhood cool thug, the Fonz, as portrayed brilliantly by Henry Winkler.
On the show, he was known by his family and friends as Mr.C.
Although Happy Days was his most famous work, Tom Bosley also starred in Murder, She Wrote, and Father Dowling Mysteries, as well as the title role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fiorello!.(WIKI)
The news comes as a surprise to his co-stars from his T.V. family, and Henry Winkler told TMZ this morning that he was in shock.

Many American youth’s that grew up in the 1970’s remember how popular Happy Days was on television, and during that period, the show itself, caused a pop culture phenomenon, and had every teen looking back at the fashions and fads of the 50’s.(ABC)
Mr.C and Mrs. C, portrayed by Marion Ross, became the parental figures of a lot of teens in our culture.
