Bizarre Genetically Modified Franken-Animals, Lead To Genetically Engineered Food And A Higher Profit Margin…The F.D.A. Decides If The Financial Gain Is Worth The Health Risk.
I wish the people had a right to vote on these food source issues given the fact that it will affect our families health, more so than a lot of the laws I have to consider every election year.
The Giant Frankenfish Monster Salmon is genetically modified by Aqua Advantage. The small one is a natural size salmon.
Genetically engineered food does not sounds safe to me.

If I allow my paranoia to take control of my mind right now, I would say that it is sheer insanity and some sort of evil plan to get rid of a lot of people by making them sick through the food supply!

I don’t care what angle you want to come at it from,…religious, scientific, or just relying upon your gut instincts, altering the food genetically sounds like a massive attempt to ruin the health of a large group of people.
Who decides what type of food is modified, or will all of it be altered???Who makes these decisions!?!…STOP THE INSANITY!!!

Call and write the FDA this week because an expert advisory panel with the Food and Drug Administration is meeting this week to consider the “strengths and weaknesses” of the agency’s report on whether genetically engineered salmon are safe to eat?

The motivations that drives the corporations to finance sick experiments like this is profit driven, with utter disregard for your health, and I am pretty sure that Aqua Advantage,the biotechnology conglomerate behind the genetically altered salmon,has the usual financial enrichment,not health related,motivations.
A chicken that has four wings and four pair of drumsticks, is worth four times the money!…
…A cow that can not catch mad-cow disease,and will not feel pain at all, so it does not suffer in the slaughterhouse!!!..
…A salmon that can grow twice as fast with three times the size of a natural Salmon,is less expensive to raise,but can provide three times the servings..Ka-Ching!!!!

It’s a basic question that is simple to answer…If I have to question for a second if something is ‘safe’ to eat, then it probably is not!
In this case, it’s a risky dilemma,because without a generation or more worth of data on long-term effect caused by the consumption of this genetically engineered (GE) salmon and food, then we really have no way of actually knowing, so that decision is obviously swayed by money!(NY TIMES)

My question is, will the citizens be able to continue to have access to natural meat?…and will we have to pay extra for the real natural food???(SOURCE)
Either way, it is predictable that this decision will have a negative effect on our meat industry exports, because many countries around the world, are not trying to risk the health of their people by altering its food source.(SOURCE)
Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate our meat consumption for the future, rather than start a move to scientifically create it.
