Pissed-Off Prominent Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac Dies In Boyfriends’ Chimney After Attempting To Break In To His House To Argue With Him Some More…WTF?!?!
A sad story of a senseless death is coming out of Bakersfield,California today, as details of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the dead body of a prominent doctor who was well liked, and tremendously loved by her staff, patients and community that she served.
The decomposing body of Dr.Jacquelyn Kotarac, 49, was found wedged inside her boyfriend’s chimney, three days after she tried to sneak into his Bakersfield house to continue arguing with him, authorities said Tuesday.(CNN-VIDEO)
Kotarac had come to the home Wednesday night but the boyfriend wouldn’t let her in. “To avoid a confrontation,” police said, “he wouldn’t let her in.”(SOURCE)
When the alleged boyfriend,William Moodie, 58,who runs an engineering consulting firm, would not let her in,Dr. Kotarac attempted to use a shovel to try to unsuccessfully force her way in through a back door, an investigator said.
The dynamic between the couple is rumored to have been characterized as an ‘on-again and off-again’ relationship…and apparently for good reason as demonstrated by this moment of bad judgement made in the heat of anger, that has led to her demise.

Mr. Moodie did not want to explain how she was trying to use the shovel to gain entrance, but he did state that when she started in with the shovel, he slipped out a side entrance unnoticed by her, and left the premises, to avoid a confrontation with the pissed off doctor.

When the shovel did not work, she found a ladder that was laying outside William Moodie’s house, and climbed on the roof .
While on the roof, Dr. Kotarac proceeded to remove the chimney cap and slide feet first down the flue where she subsequently got stuck because she was too big to pass through the opening and enter the house, Sergeant DeGeare,of the Bakersfield Police department said.(SOURCE)

Police say they do not suspect foul play in the case, and the Bakersfield coroner’s office has ruled the death an accident. Asphyxiation is the official cause of death, brought on by a momentary lapse of judgement.(KTLA)
The body of the good doctor was discovered by a house sitter and her son, who had stopped by to tend to the homeowners fish tank, when the house-sitter noticed a stench and fluids coming from the fireplace on Saturday.
Upon inspection of the strong odor coming from the fireplace, they located Dr. Kotarac lodged in the flue about 2 feet above the top of the fireplace interior opening, when the house sitters son shined a flashlight into the chimney.
It took the Bakersfield Fire Department five hours to extract her from the exterior of the chimney,by dismantling the outside of it brick by brick.(SOURCE)
Dr. Kotarac was a highly respected internist that served the Bakersfield community very well.(Wiki-Internist)
She will be missed.
This is an unfortunate and uncharacteristic death for such an accomplished and educated woman, but in the heat of passion, many people lose control of their senses, and cause bodily harm to themselves or their loved one. In these moments,we all must resort to controlling our emotions, and managing our anger,so that you can move on,
…even if that means the dissolution of a loving relationship against your will.

She had such an accomplished background, and apparently was well liked in the community of people she served.
Sometimes the heart overrules the head, even in very smart people like the doctor.

This is sad. I’m sure she was a great doctor. But there is NO man worth going after. Doesn’t want you? Meh, you can live without him. It really is sad. I feel very sorry for this lady. We all make stupid mistakes with men/for love, and this one cost dearly.
