Football Great And “Dancing With The Stars” Fan Favorite Jerry Rice Inducted Into The Hall Of Fame…The Best Wide Receiver Ever!
One of my favorite football players and Dancing With The Stars competitors, Jerry Rice, will be inducted into the Football Hall Of Fame today, in Canton, Ohio. Jerry Rice won three Superbowl rings playing for the San Francisco 49ers and an AFC Championship with the Oakland Raiders.

Jerry Rice made a lot of new fans across the nation in the fall of 2006,when he competed on the second season on the reality show Dancing with the Stars. He was paired with dancer Anna Trebunskaya, and they reached the final two before finally losing to singer Drew Lachey and his partner Cheryl Burke.

Ironically,season three winner Emmitt Smith, is also being inducted into the prestigious NFL Hall Of Fame today along with Jerry Rice.The NFL Hall of Fame is well represented on DWTS, and it possibly goes to prove that fancy footwork is a major asset to have for championship football players.
Emmitt won the DWTS trophy ball with his partner, professional dancer Cheryl Burke, and it was Cheryl who defeated Jerry on the show.(FOX)

Maybe Jerry and Emmitt will have a DWTS Hall Of Fame dance-off!…the public would love that!
I salute Emmitt and Jerry, as the two of these players have entertained me over the years, even though it had come at the expense of my team of choice, the San Diego Chargers. I will never forget what he did to the Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX, recording 10 receptions for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns — despite playing with a separated shoulder for much of the game!!!(Source)

Personally, I delight in the fact that when I introduce myself to people as Jerry Brice, for the past 20 years or so, they always say …oh, that’s like Jerry Rice, but with a ‘B’!….
…I always smile and say,I hope someone makes that mistake on my paycheck!
I don’t think that will change anytime soon, and due to his induction into the Hall Of Fame and his stint on DWTS, it may increase, and I am just fine with that.
