‘Jersey Shore’ Fan Favorite Snookie Gets Arrested
Fan favorite, and America’s sweetheart “Jersey Shore” cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi,22, has been arrested in the New Jersey beach town where the hit MTV reality show is based.(NY TIMES)

An intoxicated Snooki spent the day boozing on the New Jersey beach with cast members when her antics attracted the attention of cops,who promptly arrested her for disorderly conduct, which is a misdemeanor.
“She was transported to police headquarters and later released on a summons”, a police spokesperson said.(SOURCE)

It appears as though Snooki,who was the featured subject last week in the New York Times Fashion and Style section,is a little jealous of all the media attention that fellow train wreck Lindsay Lohan is receiving behind her current incarceration,now that her show is on for another season,she felt the need to get in on the jailhouse media-hype to boost ratings.
I don’t think she has to worry, the public loves watching her, and this latest antic will surely boost ratings through the roof, as it was all captured in front of the cameras, just like everything else she does.

Ratings for the “Jersey Shore” season 2 premiere brought 5.3 million, exceeding that of season 1 at 1.4 million.
The first episode of “Jersey Shore’s” second season was the best premiere MTV has seen in seven years – the last being season 2 of “The Osbourne’s” in November of 2002.
The demographic audience for the show of hard-partying, carefree twenty-somethings has drawn viewers between the ages of 12 and 34.(SOURCE)
She also unleashed an expletive laced rant at the cops, and chased that with a shot of arrogance….
“You can’t tell me what to do – I’m Snooki,” she yelled at officers, according to witnesses. “Do you know who I am? I’m f—— Snooki. You can’t do this to me. I’m f—— Snooki. You guys are going to be sorry for this. Release me!”

I would like to remind Snooki, that her and her fellow cast-mates of the “Jersey Shore” have created a powerful enemy in the Governor of the State of New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie, who is not a fan.

Last Sunday, The Republican governor said that the bawdy reality series is a “negative” for his state because it doesn’t depict the New Jersey he knows. For starters, most of the uber-tanned, hair-gelled stars of the show aren’t even from Jersey. (SOURCE)
Snookie answered the Governor in the media...”Our show is about coming to the shore and having a good time,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, a New York native, said in response to Christie’s claims. “You don’t have to be from New Jersey. The shore is about getting a shore house. You can be from you know, Connecticut, whatever, New York. You come down here and have a good time.”(SOURCE)
…now, she may want to re-think her strategy within the state of New Jersey, especially if she plans on dealing with the judicial system there.

She may need to have some powerful friends in the government there, rather than enemies, especially if she ever expects any lenient treatment for her crimes, all the way to a Governor issued pardon.
