Former UCLA Coach John Wooden 99,Reportedly In Grave Condition…
Living legend Hall of Fame UCLA coach John Wooden,99,who led the Bruins to 10 NCAA championships — at one time winning seven in a row — during a 27-year run that ended with his team cutting down the nets one last time in 1975, has been reported to be in ‘grave condition’ tonight at a Los Angeles hospital.(FOX)
Reports say that Wooden hasn’t eaten in two days and is very ill.Wooden’s health has been an issue in recent weeks and that he was briefly hospitalized about a month ago.
Earlier today, The Washington Post put up a simple, mournful headline: “John Wooden Dies at 99…” but had to retract it after Marc Dellins, director of sports information for UCLA, confirmed Mr. Wooden’s deteriorating condition, but on the wishes of the coach’s family, he would not comment further.(SOURCE)
