Times Square Evacuated Due To Another Suspicious Unattended Package…Bomb Squad Called Out!!!

Times Square has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found near 45th street, a New York Police Department official said. The package was found near 45th Street and Broadwayy, officials said.(CNN)

It is approximately a block from last weekends botched car bomb attempt.

The Crossroads of the World reopened about an hour later after police determined the abandoned green cooler held nothing more lethal than water bottles and books.(SOURCE) The suspicious package left in front of a hotel in Times Square, and had it been a bomb, many citizens would have perished.[picapp align=”left” wrap=”true” link=”term=package&iid=8730136″ src=”5/2/b/4/Sections_Of_New_4b22.jpg?adImageId=12783655&imageId=8730136″ width=”234″ height=”154″ /]

Many are claiming that there is a wave of paranoia that is sweeping through New York city, but, I always say, better safe than sorry.

The package that goes unreported may be the one that should have been reported, so why take the risk.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York acknowledged after that incident that terrorists have targeted New York…

“We have to take every precaution, as you know, because we remain a prime target for terrorists,” he said. “That’s something all New Yorker’s understand and it’s something that we need Washington to understand as well.”

“We will continue to doing everything we possibly can to protect New Yorker’s from terrorist attacks. We have, as you know, built the most comprehensive and sophisticated counter terrorism operation of any local police force in the world.”(SOURCE)

…I don’t know what a terrorist or an illegal alien looks like, but I do know that we all can clearly identify an unattended package!!!!…And in todays atmosphere, no one should  leave a package unattended anywhere, at all, for any reason!!!

I call for all citizens to continue to report any package that looks unattended, anywhere, and possibly we need to create a law that prohibits and punishes any citizen for leaving any package unattended in public.

It is something we may need to think about….
