Cute,Little Baby Lion Cubs Frolic at Bronx Zoo

Some have called them the ‘Pride of New York’ ,as all of New York is proud of the lion cub triplets that were presented to the public this past friday, at their new home in the Bronx Zoo.

The mother’s name is Sukari(soo-kar-EE’), and the father’s name, the real king in this jungle, M’wasi(mah-wah-SEE’),carefully watched the cubs as they frolicked,played, and investigated their new surroundings.

The zoo is asking for the public’s help in naming the two females and one male.

The trio is their second litter. They’re also parents to 2-year-old Moxie, who was the first lion cub born at the zoo in 31 years.(SOURCE)

“Our new cubs are a wonder to observe,” said Jim Breheny, Director of the Bronx Zoo. “After a visit with these cubs you can’t leave without appreciating the wonders of wildlife even more.”

I agree with him,they are a wonder to behold.

I am aware that many of my readers are against Zoos, for all kind of reasons that may be legitimate, but I know that we need Zoological institutes to assist endangered species continue to survive for years to come.Their efforts are extremely important, and they all deserve our support!!!

The group of lions and cubs can be spotted with their mother and father at their habitat from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. daily.
