Glam Rocker Bret Michaels Suffers Brain Hemmorhage…Rushed To The Hospital!!!
BREAKING NEWS- Reports are coming in stating that the lead singer of 80’s glam rock group “Poison” Bret Michael’s,47, was rushed to the hospital late Thursday night after suffering a massive hemorrhage near his brain stem. Brett Michael’s is a well-known life-long diabetic,and has been competing on the NBC hit series “Celebrity Apprentice” in order to raise funds for a charity that supports those in need suffering from diabetes.(SOURCE)

He was rushed to the hospital Thursday evening after complaining about a debilitating headache, that was later diagnosed as a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem). the doctors are keeping him in the I.C.U. where he is classified to be in critical condition.
Up to half of all cases of SAH(subarachnoid hemorrhage) are fatal and 10–15% die before reaching a hospital,and those who survive often have neurological or cognitive impairment…
Several C.A.T. scans,M.R.I.’s and an angiogram have been performed to determine the cause of the bleed, and he will be under intense observation for several days.
Admittedly, the doctors have stated that it is a ‘touch-and-go’ situation for Bret.
Earlier this month, Michael’s underwent an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, Texas, on April 12. Michael’s said that if he had not gone to the doctor to have it removed, and had gone on stage to perform, his appendix would have ruptured, and he would have died.
He said that the appendix episode would serve as a wake up call to himself, to watch his health more diligently.
For a lot of people like myself, that grew up in Los Angeles in the 80’s and for those who hung out on Sunset Blvd. at Gazzarri’s, The Roxy,The Troubadour and the Whisky-A-Go-Go,we all remember the band “Poison” and the young Brett Michael’s who took over the Sunset strip as soon as they moved out west,..we all wish Bret well!!
He is and was definitely a big part of our scene, and our youth, and I only wish the best for him and his family.
