Catholic penitents in the Philippines carried out their traditional re-enactment of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday – the day that he was crucified according to the Christian faith.

I respect people who can allow themselves to believe in something so deeply, as to bring pain and suffering to their body…..but, I think I will stick to our tradition of coloring hard-boiled eggs, and hiding them for the kids to find in a family Easter egg hunt, and eating chocolate bunnies…
Much less pain and suffering involved…
