John Forsythe, the legendary actor who portrayed Tycoon Blake Carrington on-screen in the 80’s, and the mysterious Charlie, head of the “Charlies Angels” security team,off-screen in the 70’s and also starred in “Bachelor Father” in the 50’s and 60’s,died  this week at the age of 92.(TMZ)

John Forsythe was an acting icon, as well as an iconic pop culture figure. The character he portrayed on the ‘Dynasty’ series was an image that we all aspired to be in those Brat-pack years of excess, wealth, and luxury.

His publicist also stated,John Forsythe died as he lived, with a lot of class and dignity.

John Forsythe’s first marriage, to Parker McCormick, ended in divorce. His second wife, Julie Warren, an actress he married in 1943, died in 1994.

Survivors include his third wife, Nicole Carter of Santa Ynez; a son from the first marriage, Dall Forsythe, former New York State budget director; two daughters from the second marriage, Page Courtemanche and Brooke Forsythe; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

I was a fan and admirer as many were, of Mr. Forsythe’s work, and all of us in the entertainment business are better off for his contribution to our craft, and business.(Source)

May he rest in peace…

  1. May Mr Forsythe rest in peace. He was indeed a respectable gracious & very handsome actor–which is rare in Hollywood. My prayers to his family!
