Sarah Palin Spoke Too Soon!!!… `Family Guy’ Actress Has Down Syndrome In Real Life!!!

How ironic!!!

The woman who portrayed a character with Down’s Syndrome on the Fox animated comedy “Family Guy,”Andrea Fay Friedman,40, enraging Sarah Palin, actually has Down Syndrome and says the former Alaska Governor needs to lighten up.(SOURCE)

Sarah Palin and her single mother teenage daughter Bristol Palin,19, have been on a weeklong Fox news orchestrated smear campaign against the Fox Television networks number one show, Family Guy, over the recently aired episode that they feel made an off-color joke about her son Trig, who has Down’s Syndrome.

She has exploited her sons condition to benefit her with public sympathy, and has declared herself to be the de facto spokesperson championing the Down’s syndrome community…even though she has sponsored legislation that will in fact make their life much harder!

Palin has also been on a tear to ban the word “retarded” from the English language…even though it is a legitimate word that describes an actual state of being. Rahm Emanuel used it to disparage some fellow politicians, but in no way was he ever referring to anyone that is learning disabled or those who have Down’s Syndrome, and she knows that.

When her Republican leader,Rush Limbaugh used it,then she said that his usage of it was quite alright!!!Hmmmmm….not only a double standard, but also double-talk!

She is attempting to limit our freedom of speech just like a Communist Dictator, which she is patterning this censorship on.

Palin did that in order to spin his words as a slur against her son for her own political gain,as if Down’s syndrome is a game!

The problem with all of that is  that Andrea, and all of those who may have Down’s syndrome, do not need her to speak for them, and they certainly do not appreciate Palin exploiting her son, and their condition, to advance her sick political agenda.

That is why I am happy that Andrea spoke up for herself, and is showing the public that they do not need her sympathy, pity, or her hatred for comedy.

Just like all black people are not the same, all people with Down’s Syndrome are not the same as well, and they want to laugh and have fun just like everybody else.

If she continues, all that she will accomplish is that there may be no television producer out there that will cast actors with Down’s syndrome, preventing them to get acting work!!!She is attempting to eliminate the Down’s syndrome actors from comedic roles, which would be detrimental to a Down syndrome comedian from making a living.

How is that helping!!!!…it is an attack on the community that she is lying about helping.

She must envision a pitiful, institutionalized future for her son Trig, and by her actions, she will probably limit him from achieving his full potential.

Andrea Fay Friedman deserves more of our attention, rather than the fake and phony Palin, and her phony family. Check out her biography here on Wikipedia….

My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the “Extra Large Medium” episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine’s day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in ” Smudge” but I was a blonde in “Life Goes On”. I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line “I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska” was very funny. I think the word is “sarcasm”.

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes…(SOURCE)

It is to be noted that Andrea has worked at a law firm for 20 years, and has lived a productive and vibrant life, with little to no limitations.

Sarah Palin needs to take note of this, and get the fact that none of us, especially those with Down’s Syndrome, need her to censor or parse our words or to protect them from comedy.

So….take Andrea’s advice you hateful, ridiculous Republican neocon pimps,and lighten up!!!
