The Public Bashes Taylor Swift’s Live Grammy Performance…Her Label Chief Comes To Her Defense!!!
The debate rages on throughout the world-wide web as the public weighs in heavily giving their opinions on Taylor Swift’s out of tune duet sung live on the Grammy’s this past Sunday evening.
The opinions are generally bad, and mainly harsh.
It rates as one of the worst performances ever, on a Grammy telecast, and I am a Stevie Nick’s fan, so I was looking forward to seeing her perform on the telecast. The songs that I have heard from Taylor Swift are catchy, and well done, and I have seen her perform live on television in the past, and she has always been quite polished and entertaining, so I was expecting them to deliver a great performance.
Unfortunetly… what I heard was not that good.Taylor was way off tune, and very flat. Her vocalisation hampered the usually powerful Stevie Nicks, who I am pretty sure was trying to make a bad performance as good as possible.[picapp align=”right” wrap=”true” link=”term=taylor+swift+and+stevie+nicks&iid=7774447″ src=”f/7/e/e/The_52nd_Annual_85f9.jpg?adImageId=9907933&imageId=7774447″ width=”234″ height=”312″ /]
Taylor just had a bad night…and really, some singers are just too strong to sing with the teeny boppers!…and Stevie Nicks is one of those strong singers.
It’s the producers fault, not Taylor’s.Stevie Nick’s music is thoroughly different than Taylor Swift’s, so the pairing was intrinsically an ill fit.
Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta, the head of Taylor’s record label, has come to her defense.
He told the The Associated Press in a phone interview… “This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note,…”This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance”….
“Maybe she’s not the best technical singer, but she’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it. … She’s an extraordinary songwriter and her vocal performances are getting better. Everybody is not perfect on any given day.”…(SOURCE)

I bet Stevie Nicks wishes that she had a problem with her earpiece, because by the look of the expression on her face as she tries to tolerate Taylor’s terrible vocals, I bet she wanted to tune her out!
Borchetta provided this little bit of bravado to the Tennessean, calling out the Taylor-haters….”The critics are missing the bigger picture,” he says. “This is what always happens and is the unfortunate part of the American dream—that we build these people up to watch the critics tear them down. Well, you better have more than what you’ve got now if you think you’re going to get in the ring and fight with us.”…(SOURCE)
Well…he’s got Taylor’s back, and based on all the money and awards she has made him, it’s the least he could do!
At 20,Taylor Swift is the youngest performer ever to win the Grammy’s top prize of Album of the Year, and since she is so young and truly a gifted artist,…she has many more performances to give on the Grammy’s for many years to come.
Bob Dylan can’t sing either, and it is not stopping him from having a succesful music career, live performances and all!!!
This kid is just starting out…and she has proven herself to be a quick learner…

What a shock! Without computers to cover up her lack of talent, Taylor can’t carry a tune! I’m so sick of her. All her songs sound the same. And I wonder if she even knows what she looks like without a ton of makeup on! Please….give us a break from all the Taylor Swift hype!
