Levi Johnston Wins The Right To Have An Open And Public Custody Battle For His Child With Bristol Palin
The Anchorage Daily News is reporting that an Alaska judge has granted the petition by Levi Johnston to hold the custody battle for his son, 1-year-old Tripp Johnston, that he had out-of-wedlock with Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin.
Bristol Palin, 19, is seeking sole custody of 1-year-old Tripp, the son she shares with ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston, also 19.
Levi Johnston, to his credit, is seeking a joint custody arrangement, that would allow both parents the opportunity to raise the child together, in separate households. In his answer, Levi states that he would be more than happy to raise the child jointly with Bristol, under a shared custody court order.

She had wanted to have the trial be sealed, and out of the public eye.
Bristol’s attorney’s are claiming that Levi is too immature to raise little Tripp,suggesting that Levi’s shameless promotional activities, including his “risqué” photo shoot for Playgirl, and that his life in the spotlight harmed the baby and Johnston was “not yet mature enough to take on significant parental responsibilities.”
USA Today reports….“I know that public scrutiny will simplify this matter and act as a check against anyone’s need to be overly vindictive, aggressive or malicious, not that Bristol would ever be that way, nor that I would,” Johnston writes in his affidavit, according to the Daily News. “But her mother is powerful, politically ambitious and has a reputation for being extremely vindictive.”
I see that Levi has paid attention to what Sarah and Todd Palin are accused of doing to their former brother in law…Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper, the chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded… (SOURCE-http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27105917/)
I like this kid, Levi Johnston, and I find him to be unusually wise, in some ways.
He handles his interviews very well, he is pleasant and amicable, and seems like an honest young man.I think that Tripp has a great dad in Levi, and even though Bristol and her mom do not like Levi, the reality of it is, is that they do not have a legitimate claim to prevent Levi from raising his child.
Of course he is immature in ways, simply because he is 19, just like Bristol Palin, it’s not like he can source the maturity of a 35-year-old, but I find young Levi to be a totally fit parent.
The attempt by the Palin clan to exclude Levi from the life of his son is tantamount to kidnapping, and pretty much falls in line with the reports by Levi citing the fact that Sarah and Todd Palin have been the primary instigator’s preventing him access to his own son.
The two of them need to fall back, and stop attempting to manipulate the Alaska judicial system in order to retaliate on a former partner, married or not, that in their opinion have fallen out of step with their political agendas.
I applaud Levi, and I pray that he is successful in his attempt to raise his son with Bristol, which studies have shown is in the ..best interest of the child.
The best interest of the child is all that matters in these cases, and I find that if the man fights for the right to raise his child,then society should support that, since many men are forced unfairly to separated from their children, and under the oppressive thumb of some vindictive and mad “Baby Mama”.
I stand by the fact that raising a child should only be equal-on all levels,… mother and father, and that means child support as well!!!!
We will be watching this, and shining a bright light on this case…
