Summer is over and Fall is in the air, and it that time of year to move the clock back one-hour.

Daylight saving time (DST; also summer time in British English—see Terminology) is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less.(Source is Wikipedia)

Traditionally, the  U.S.A. begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March and switches back to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November.

In 2009, daylight saving falls on Sunday November 1st, so everyone will have an extra hour to sleep in the morning following Halloween, on October 31st. Remember, in the fall, you set your clock back an hour , to 1:00 a.m.

Remember this old adage if you need help to remember…Spring forward, and Fall back….

For those of us that collect antique clocks, or have yet to upgrade to digital which will adjust the time for itself when necessary, then you have one week from today to start changing them to Daylight Savings time.

Good luck, and don’t be late,..or too early, if you can ever be too early!!!
